A hearty welcome in San Vigilio's most authentic historic hotel.Our house has a long and proud history that stretches back several centuries. Since its erection, the "Corona" has been the centre of village life in San Vigilio.
For more than 200 years by now it has been in use as lodging and dining facility. We continue this tradition with great pleasure and spend all our efforts to make Hotel Corona a hospitable place to stop off and to stay.
New life to antique traditions...
Our house was built in 1505 by Knight Giovanni da Ras, who was widely known for his heroic deeds.
In the following centuries the building was used as courthouse and as school until it was remodeled in 1774 and turned into a guesthouse that got the name „Albergo Corona". For nearly a century by now it has been run with enthusiasm and care by our family. The hotel owners Robert and Rosmary Frenner are eager to provide you with a most pleasant stay during your precious holidays.
Ambience
Hotel Corona has been restored in keeping the aesthetic character of our Alpine area to give you a most comfortable stay.
Our guestrooms are light and airy and feature wooden furniture. All rooms have private balcony.

Our gourmet cuisine captures heart and mind
Dining in our excellent restaurant is a gourmet's delight. We use fresh ingredients only to create flavourful regional and Mediterranean dishes.
In the morning we please our guests with an elaborate buffet breakfast. In the afternoon we seduce our visitors with home-made cakes and pastries and in the evening we spoil them with exclusive menus with lots of appetizers and rich salad buffets. And finally we surprise them with an unforgettable gala dinner or with a romantic Ladin supper.In our wine cellar we have a collection of meticulously chosen wines to satisfy all tastes and occasions. We are happy to recommend the wine we think you will enjoy most.The restaurant of our Hotel Corona with its Ladin sitting rooms is open to hotel guests also at noon. We also offer special diets, including vegetarian, celiac and baby menus.
